About Good Enough To Eat
Soaps are handmade so each soap has its on special design. I take extra steps to ensure that the soaps are well made and will not be harmful to the skin. Every single step of creating the soap is done by hand without using any commercial machine...It is truly handmade!
All of the oils and butters that are used in the soap making process are organic or 100% natural to the guideline of the FDA.
I want to keep my family healthy by cutting out the GMO Foods and the man made chemical that can cause illness and offering you the best in bath and body products.
Soap Making Process
All of my soap are made by the Cold Process Method Soap is made by saponifying a fat or oil with an alkali. The alkali is either (Lye) sodium (for bars) or potassium (for liquids) hydroxide, made by running electricity through salt water. The saponification process is a simple one-step reaction with no waste generated: the glycerine is split off from the fatty acids, and the fatty acids combine with the sodium or potassium to form soap, while the hydroxide forms water. The result is soap, glycerin and water (no alkali remains in our soaps).
Good quality soap-making is choosing the right proportions of oils. Most commercial soap manufacturers skimp on quality because of cost and use lots of tallow from beef fat with a little bit of coconut or palm kernel oil. I use certified organic oils or 100% natural oils, and butters instead of (beef) tallow, which allow my soaps to contain three times more natural oils than commercial soaps.
Saponified coconut oil generates high-lather cleansing even in hard water because it has shorter-chain saturated fatty acids. Olive and palm oil-based soaps make a mild, smooth, creamy lather because these oils contain longer-chain unsaturated and poly-unsaturated fatty acids.
Testing Process
Each product that is handmade is tested on my skin along with my family and friends to ensure that several skin types has been tested and there are no problems with the batch products.
Eco-friendliness
All ingredients of the soap will be decomposed into water and carbon dioxide by microorganisms within 24 hours after it is drained.
Storing the soap
You might be surprised to see how soluble natural soap is when you first use it. Handmade soap contains natural glycerin in great abundance so it’s much more soluble than any commercial soap.
Please keep it in a well-ventilated and dry place after each use
If you are not using the soap right away, please store it in a well-ventilated and cool place (you may store it in a refrigerator). The soap’s mildness and hardness may increase by storing it for a while, but please use it up within a year from the date of purchase.
Please read the following before purchase
• Due to the manual process, each soap has a unique shape, weight and appearance.
• Please note that the colors shown on your computer monitor may not be the same as the actual colors of the soap.
• The weight of the soap may be reduced by natural evaporation of water.
• Please understand that the soap is handmade by an individual and please use it at your own responsibility.
• Please do not use the soap if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
• Please note the essential oils used in the soap(s) you purchase, if you are pregnant, as pregnant women should avoid some essential oils during pregnancy. Instead, please purchase my soaps that do not contain any essential oils.
• Honey and essential oils may be irritating for babies and toddlers.
• Please note that some soaps may oxidize quickly due to the nature of oils.
• The transparent, sticky substance which appears when the soap is wet is the natural emollient glycerin.
• White particles on the surface of soap are powders from the soap itself.
Every soap that I make and offer has been tested, but the experience is unique to each individual so please stop using if it disagrees with your skin.
Because the soap are handmade you are using at your own risk. We are not liable for any damages.
